The Medical Education Building at Emory University consists of a new building connecting two historic four-story buildings designed by architect Henry Hornbostel. The existing buildings, totaling 50,000 sq. ft. and currently serving as the Anatomy and Physiology Buildings were renovated as part of the project. Epsten Group initiated a mold pilot design study for the building. The site incorporates stormwater treatment in response to Emory's concern about nearby streams. The LEED process considers parking and transportation options in the context of the entire Emory campus.
