 Orlando, Florida After a threatening hurricane season, the Parés decided to rebuild their Florida home. The environmentally conscious home includes a design scheme centered around a courtyard and garden, preserving the live oak tree. The completed residence is the first project in the state of Florida to achieve the silver certification under the LEED for Homes standard. The home features solar water heating, urea-formaldehyde-free cabinetry, and high-efficiency windows and doors and is constructed using insulating concrete forms. |
