Athens, Georgia The Pulaski Street lofts is an adaptive-reuse project of a 22,000 sq. ft. historic manufacturing facility. The building was originally constructed with arch-top metal trusses, high ceilings, wood roof decking, and brick bearing walls. The conversion of the facility created 23 individual office lofts, 3,000 sq. ft. of retail space, and a 3,500 sq. ft.restaurant. Use of pervious surfaces in the parking lot avoided the need for a detention pond. As design architects, The Epsten Group gave detailed attention to meeting applicable code requirements in the re-used structure and to updating the exterior with new design elements. |
